Projects / Les enfants des rues au Sénégal : Sensibilisation en Europe, intervention au Sénégal
To realize our project, "Street children in Senegal," we are searching 60 sponsors, each one to donate the price of one mosquito net for one of the 60 street children that we will aid in the school of the Village Yoff (just outside of Dakar) photographed below.
Malaria, one of the most serious and common illnesses of Western Africa, is most effectively prevented through the use of mosquito nets, which are used to protect the children from mosquitoes at night. Mosquito nets cost approximately 7 euros, and these children lack the means to purchase them. This is why we hope to donate these mosquito nets - with your help. In becoming a sponsor for only 7€, you can donate the price of a mosquito net for a child. Your gift will permit us to purchase the 60 nets necessary for this project. How to make a contribution? To sponsor our project, send your check of 7€ written out to "Global Youth Action Network," with "Sponsor" written in the Memo line, to this address: GYAN France If you prefer to make your payment in dollars, please send your check of $9 written out to "Global Youth Action Network," to the following address: Global Youth Action Network To make your contribution in US dollars online, please click here. Please follow up on your donation through sending us an email in order to indicate that in becoming a sponsor, you would like to donate the price of a mosquito net. Donate a book Are you interested in helping out on the educational side of our campaign? Help us in our book collection to aid the Educational Resource Center of UNESCO to carry out its literacy work. Simply donate your book(s) within the French language, preferably French language books, but any scholastic books, textbooks, history books or even novels can be helpful. If interested in donating, contact us. | ||||
